Few-femtosecond UV source at high repetition rate for attosecond time-resolved coincidence measurements
Within the framework of HELIOS, this work is linked to the projects P2 and P3 for which a new UV-pump UV/VUV-probe scheme will be developed to investigate ultrashort electron dynamics in bio-chemically relevant molecules. This will be realized by initially reducing the pulse duration through a Herriott type Multipass Cell, then generating UV/VUV pulses by exploiting soliton dynamics within a hollow core fibre and finally constructing a fast detection system.
